The Southwest Florida Business Alliance and SWFL Business Network hosted the Edison Mall’s first-ever career and job fair on October 22, 2021 from 1pm-8pm.
We had job-seekers come with their resumes to meet with local SWFL businesses looking to fill open positions so that we would help speed up the daunting process of looking for, and filling, a job role. People from all over Lee County came to see what options they had ahead of them, whether they were looking for their first job, a better one, or a whole new career path.
Hiring businesses were relieved to be able to talk one-on-one with job-seekers without the frustration of unresponsive applicants or coordinating interview dates…everyone who wanted to be hired was already there!
Applicants were also thankful that they didn’t need to sit on the edge of their seats waiting for employers to get back to them.
This job fair was extremely successful, with many of our attending employers filling ALL their positions in one afternoon. The SWFL Business Alliance and SWFL Business Network is planning to hold another employment event in the future.
