The President of BJM Consulting, Inc., a firm that specializes in local government activities. In 1983 he was elected Mayor of Cape Coral, a position he held for ten years. Presently, Joe works on a variety of local issues ranging from land use cases to incorporation studies.
Joe attended the University of Florida where he studied engineering, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Administration from Barry University, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Stamford Hill University. He also served as Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Director of the Public Administration Program at IMPAC University. He is presently a MBA Facilitator at Keiser University.
Joe has served as Chair of the Ruth Cooper Center for Behavioral Health Care Board, Chair of the Council for Progress Foundation, Board Member and chair of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Board Member and Chair of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of Gulf Coast Village, a past member of Lee County’s Local Planning Agency, and was appointed to serve on the Florida Transportation Commission.

Terri is a member of the Fort Myers Planning Board and Lee County MPO Bike/Ped Coordinating Committee as well as Traffic Management Operations Committee.
Terri is an engineer and marketer by training, a strategist by vocation, and a technologist by heart with a multidisciplinary and multicultural background. Terri has developed disruptive technology and service businesses globally, now bringing business savvy to focus on Smart Cities. She is also leading a coalition of business leaders with LeeConnected advocating for transportation solutions.
The Building Industry Alliance, SWFL Chapter, will benefit the members through our online directory and monthly large-scale networking event, including speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
